Our room had a lovely garden view and was very well appointed with a large TV, spacious en-suite and very comfortable bed. “A first time stay at this place and definitely one to return to. We enjoyed a meal in the Mouse Bar and Restaurant on the Friday evening. Great food and wine. We had the fish pie and the salmon, both were very good and a good helping too. The wine was great and well priced & a couple of beers went down well also. We also stayed at the venue for the night, in the Arkle room. An absolute treat, great decor and not the average room you would expect. Worth checking the pictures out on their website and they are an exact representation of the room. We left on the Saturday after having breakfast there which set us up for the day. A full cooked English and poached eggs and avocado on toast, along with cereals. Both were superb in quality and quantity. Neither of us could fault the venue, food, drinks or the atmosphere (even in these COVID times) and staff were always on hand and were polite & friendly at all times. Would love to go back”.

“I don’t usually leave reviews but felt compelled to on this occasion as we had such a lovely stay. We stayed overnight and our room was lovely, warm, clean and quiet with a great sized bed and bathroom. The pub itself is beautiful – if you’re looking for a classic and traditional old English pub that has been well looked after this is the place. We also had dinner at the pub (vegetable curry for my girlfriend and fish pie for me) which was delicious and really generous portion sizes. We also had breakfast at the pub which was just as delicious – great variety of classic cooked breakfasts and lighter options for a really reasonable price. There is also a farm shop on-site with so much great local produce and a nice outdoor seating area for coffees. The farm shop was also very reasonably priced and we bought lots of great goodies. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay and we had lots of nice conversations with them. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be coming to stay again!”
